Join us as we throw open the doors to NZ Opera
As we prepare for our upcoming season of Rossini’s madcap comedy Le comte Ory, we’re excited to soon invite the opera-curious public into our Parnell studio, for another of our much-loved NZ Opera Open Days. Experience a rare, behind-the-scenes look at the magic lurking in the wings of our mainscale opera productions, taking in everything from rehearsal and performance to set design, costume construction and the wizardry of our in-house hair, wigs and makeup team.

12:30PM – 1:30pm : OBSERVE A WORKING REHEARSAL
Peek behind the scenes with a working rehearsal of Le comte Ory.
1:40pm – 2:00pm : Q&A SESSION
Dive deeper into the creative process with a Q&A featuring Director Simon Phillips and Conductor and NZ Opera General Director, Brad Cohen.
2:00pm – 2:30pm : SING-ALONG
Join in a delightful sing-along session featuring memorable numbers from our 2024 season.
