The Royal Opera House

Every Friday (UK time), The Royal Opera premieres another of its productions on YouTube, featuring productions by The Royal Opera, The Royal Ballet and in the case of Acis and Galatea, both companies together. The latest is a contemporary production of Così fan tutte. Enjoy them all.

Simon O’Neill in Parsifal

A free performance of Parsifal has just gone live from the Wiener Staatsoper, with our own Simon O’Neill in the title role, Rene Pape as Gurnemanz and the Vienna Philharmonic conducted by Valery Gergiev.

Blast from the past

Our new production of The Marriage of Figaro has been rescheduled to next year, but in the meantime, here’s something from the archives of our YouTube channel – highlights from our 2010 production of The Marriage of Figaro, starring Riccaro Novaro, Nuccia Focile, Wade Kernot and Emma Pearson.

Orchestras

Orchestras in New Zealand and around the world are sharing some wonderful concerts. Berliner Philharmoniker now offers a free subscription to their digital concert hall, the APO have been streaming encore performances and releasing some great videos for all ages, the NZSO have an Engage @ Home programme, and the CSO had such a huge response to their Birthday Grams they had to stop taking requests!

But wait there’s more – see more online highlights in our previous blog post.
