Appearing as 1970s Judith in the 2026 season of Bluebeard's Castle

Katie (she/her) is an actor, director and theatre maker based in Tāmaki Makaurau. A graduate of Unitec School of Performing and Screen Arts (Acting, 09), Katie is the director of Ratbags Theatre and award-winning theatre work, How to Art which has presented four seasons in the past year across Auckland, Wellington and Melbourne. Katie is a core cast member of Olivier Award-nominated Room on the Broom, regularly touring throughout Australia with CDP Theatre Producers. She is also a key member of local company Co Theatre Physical, creating and presenting physical theatre productions across NZ including award-winning works Wild Feelings and Monarch. Recent performance highlights include Let it Die with Basement Theatre, Wheelhead with Q Theatre, Bluebeard’s Castle with NZ Opera, and GET OUT OF MY LETTERBOX with Q Theatre. Directing highlights include HR The Musical with Q Theatre, Access–winner of the NZ Fringe touring award 2022, and B425 Playmarket Award-nominated Paradise Island with Basement Theatre. Katie is represented by Auckland Actors and is a proud member of Equity NZ.
