Tomairangi Henare (Ngāti Kahungunu ki Wairoa) has recently completed his Bachelor of Music with Honours in Classical Performance at Victoria University. He has performed roles including Marchese d’Obigny (La traviata) and Pandolfe (Cendrillon) and has performed in the chorus for Wellington Opera, Festival Opera and New Zealand Opera. Tomairangi was also honoured to be a student at the New Zealand Opera School in 2024.
